About The Publications Team

Abigail Francis
Co-Vice President of Publications
Abigail, or Abby, is a U3 political science and cultural studies double major. She’s passionate about not only getting women’s voices to the table but making them loud. Her research is mainly on reproductive justice and systems of oppression. Looking toward the future, if she doesn’t become a music journalist first, she hopes to connect storytelling and lived experiences with political journalism.

Stella Fox
Co-Vice President of Publications
Stella Fox is a third-year political science student, minoring in urban studies. She is interested in how climate change and urban resilience shape conflict and stability, and in the role international law plays in holding states accountable. Stella is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and was born in Wyoming!

Carly Waiz
Editor and VP Academic
Carly is a U2 history and international development student, with a minor in environment. She is most interested in sustainable development and climate policy, hoping to pursue a career in environmental law. Fun fact: she will be spending all of the Winter 2027 term doing a field study in Panama, putting her love for conservation and BC nature kid roots to work! She is also WIIS McGill’s VP Academic this year, so ask her all about the very cool things she has in store to expand undergraduate access to international security!
